We started a series yesterday without realising it, but we did, and whilst the old favourites keep popping up on our radar, we’ll add to the list. Without further ado, here are more favourite games that have been developed into mobile gaming apps for both the iPhone and the Android mobile devices.
Tetris
This is a slightly different ‘take’ on the classic game, but EA does a marvellous job of adapting it. Add to the fact that the full versions are very inexpensive on top of free, limited versions available, and you have a whole geometric world reopening on mobile platforms.
And if you get nostalgic, don’t worry another moment: The classic version is also available!
The Prince of Persia
Yes, this is the classic version! It’s back, and it’s mobile! The graphics are improved, and the game progression is slightly different to thwart those old experts who had played it so often that they no longer had to view the screen. But it’s otherwise the classic game without the ‘modern’ hoopla that sometimes disappoints in revamped versions.
Another World
Jump back in time as you explore the mobile video game. Warm up the old noggin’ because you have to decipher clues, use common sense and still complete game levels to maximize your ending – just as you did over 20 years ago when Another World first came out.
Gotta love this game again and still!
Centipede
Who does not recall this iconic arcade game? Who doesn’t remember showing off to friends with slick combination fire points and daring angle shots? Quick! It’s closing in! The centipede is getting faster! No! IT SPLIT! Fire! Fire! Fire!
Blasted the mushroom, sod it!
The adrenaline pumps just thinking about it.
Play them now on your iPhone or your Android, and don’t let those old records fall.
